Laharpe Fire Protection District responded to 21 calls in 2018 - 31.2 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Laharpe included 17 fires - seven structure fires, one vehicle fire and nine other fires. The fire department also responded to two calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $103,000 in fire loss - or about $6,059 per fire.

The department also received two false calls.

The Laharpe Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $175,272 in 2018.
