8 Calhoun County residents in their forties test positive for COVID-19

As of September 29, there have been eight Calhoun County residents in their forties who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to numbers being reported to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

There have been 122 residents in their forties in the county who had been tested, meaning that six percent of those tested have the coronavirus. Through September 29, there have been 61 confirmed COVID-19 cases and no deaths from the coronavirus in Calhoun County.

Illinois gathers all of its COVID-19 data from across the state electronically. The reported cases and deaths will fluctuate as additional info is gathered. Chicago was home to one of the first known cases of COVID-19 in the US, as well as it's transmission.
