Q1 2020 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Greene County?

There were seven offenders released on parole during the first quarter of 2020 that live in Greene County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by West Central Reporter.

The data shows that all of the released offenders in Greene County were men. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 40. The youngest parolee was a 25-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2019, and the oldest was a 54-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Robin L. Winder. He was convicted of a property crime in 2016 when he was 51 years old. He is now 54.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter of 2020 in each Greene County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
