CITY OF BEARDSTOWN: All Driver Service Facilities Will Close For In Person Transactions

City of Beardstown issued the following announcement on Nov. 13.

Secretary of State Jesse White announced all driver service facilities will close for in person transactions.

These facilities will close on Tuesday, Nov. 17, and will reopen on Monday, Dec. 7.

People are encouraged to use the online services these facilities offer.

These online services include:

Renewing a license plate sticker.

Renewing a valid driver’s license for qualifying drivers.

Renewing a valid ID card for those ages 22-64; those ages 65 and older have free, non-expiring IDs.

Obtaining a driver record abstract.

Filing Business Services documents, such as incorporations and annual reports.

In addition, White announced that the expiration dates for driver's licenses and ID cards will be extended until June 1, 2021. Commercial Driver License (CDL) holders are not included in this extension, due to federal requirements
