Athletic Director, Dave Phelps, addressed the board with questions on upcoming practices and contact days. The board was in agreeance to allow scheduled practices to take place. Krupps explained that if guidance came down that discouraged such activities then the board would need to reevaluate and possibly make changes.
Diane Robertson and Todd Fox of School Exec Connect met with the board to discuss the scope of the permanent superintendent search. Diane discussed the initial search process which includes the opportunity for staff, parents, and community members to participate in the candidate search. Diane explained that there would be online surveys, focus groups, and an open forum to allow as much feedback as possible. Diane explained they will narrow the search to six candidates and then after conducting interviews that pool would be reduced to three for the final interview process. School Exec Connect will provide salary and benefit comparisons for 10-15 surrounding districts to ensure the district is on track with compensation.
