Pike and Adams counties' health departments partnered to expand the vaccination options against COVID-19 for Pike County residents 65 years and older.
As of Jan. 24 at 3 p.m., any Pike County resident 65 years old or older were able to register for vaccination on the Adams County Health Department's website for the following week, according to a Facebook post from the Pike County Illinois Chamber of Commerce.
On Monday, Jan. 25 at 10 a.m., the Adams County Health Department's call center will also accept appointments by phone for those who call 217-800-4VAX.
Pike County Health Department estimates that the county has approximately 1,500 individuals 65 years old or older pre-registered for vaccination, the post said. Those who have already pre-registered with Pike County who wish to take advantage of the new opportunity with Adams County need to apply for the Adams County program online or by phone.
