The Board of Education met in a Regular Meeting at 6:00 p.m. in the High School LRC with the following members present: McCleery, Miller, Mendenhall, Oakman, Croxton, Kozicki, and Rodeffer. Absent: None
Public Comments: None
The Board reviewed the Consent Agenda.
Motion by Member Miller seconded by Member Oakman to approve the Consent Agenda which contained the following: Minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 18, 2020, Payment of Bills, Treasurer's Report and Investments, Federated Accounts, Manual and Void Checks and Imprest Ledgers. After a roll call vote motion carried as follows: Aye: McCleery, Miller, Oakman, Croxton, Kozicki and Rodeffer Nay: None Abstain: Mendenhall
Superintendent Dr. Dinger reported on remote learning. Donations from the community for students for Christmas. Eight Man Football.
Superintendent Dr. Dinger reviewed the Tax Levy.
Motion by Member Mendenhall, seconded to Member Oakman to approve the 2020 Tax Levy as presented. After a roll call vote motion carried as follows: Aye: McCleery, Miller, Mendenhall, Oakman, Croxton, Kozicki and Rodeffer. Nay: None
The Board reviewed the Personnel Report
Motion by Member Oakman, seconded by Member Mendenhall to approve the following Personnel recommendations: Employ Olivia Franks as Speech Language Pathologist beginning on May 6, 2021. After a roll call vote motion carried as follows: Aye: McCleery, Miller, Mendenhall, Oakman, Croxton, Kozicki and Rodeffer. Nay: None
The Board reviewed the Safety and Risk Management Plan.
Motion by Member Miller, seconded by Member Kozicki to approve the updated 2020 21 Safety and Risk Management Plan as presented. After a roll call vote motion carried as follows: Aye: McCleery, Miller, Mendenhall, Oakman, Croxton, Kozicki and Rodeffer. Nay: None
The Board discussed the Return to Lean Plan and Metrics for Remote Learning.
It was decided to return on January 4, 2021 with the current Remote Learning Plan. A return to Learn Planning day for teachers will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 with Students returning to full day in person instruction on Wednesday, January 13, 2021.
The Board discussed hiring two full-time Substitute Teachers for the second semester of the 2020-21 School Year.
Motion by Member Oakman, seconded by Member Mendenhall to adjourn the meeting. After a voice vote. All in favor, motion carried.
