City of Beardstown issued the following announcement on Mar. 18.
The Cass County Health Department is reporting two new cases of Covid today. Cass County’s overall Covid-19 case count is at 1908. The active case count is at 7. The total number recovered is 1868, with 33 deceased. There are no cases currently hospitalized.
We are continuing to vaccinate phase 1A, 1B, and now 1B+ groups. The newly opened 1B+ group includes people age 16-64 with chronic health conditions including people who are obese, have diabetes, pulmonary diseases, smoke, have heart conditions, chronic kidney disease, cancer solid organ transplant, sickle cell disease, pregnancy persons, and persons with a disability that has not been covered in previous categories.
