Carthage Elementary School District 317 Board Met Feb. 17
The regular meeting of the Carthage E.S.D. #317 Board of Education was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Board President Brent Ufkes.

Mrs. Hardy reviewed her report. Mr. Snowden reviewed his report. Ms. Nason reviewed her report.
It was moved by Mrs. Markley and seconded by Mrs. Graham to approve the consent agenda as presented. Roll call: Mr. Ufkes/yes; Mr. Burling/yes; Mr. Menn/yes; Mrs. Jones/yes; Mr. Gooding/yes; Mrs. Markley/yes; Mrs. Graham/yes. Motion carried 7-0.
Update on Length of School Days: The new 2:00 dismissal time was to have been implemented on February 16th, but due to weather conditions, February 16th and February 17th were remote learning days, so there was nothing to report as of yet.
Update on Sports: Mr. Snowden gave an overview of the number of games that have been cancelled and how many are left on the schedule for each sport. He also explained that due to gym size and other restrictions, we are not able to allow spectators at this time.
It was moved by Mr. Burling and seconded by Mrs. Markley to approve the following items as surplus: 6 Smart Boards, 24 Epson Projectors and a 2002 Chevrolet Blue Bird Mini Bus, VIN#1GBJG31R621117467. Roll call: Mr. Ufkes/yes; Mr. Burling/yes; Mr. Menn/yes; Mrs. Jones/yes; Mr. Gooding/yes; Mrs. Markley/yes; Mrs. Graham/yes. Motion carried 7-0.
It was moved by Mrs. Markley and seconded by Mr. Gooding to enter into executive session at 6:14 p.m. for the purpose of discussing personnel. Roll call: Mr. Ufkes/yes; Mr. Burling/yes; Mr. Menn/yes; Mrs. Jones/yes; Mr. Gooding/yes; Mrs. Markley/yes; Mrs. Graham/yes. Motion carried 7-0.
It was moved by Mrs. Markely and seconded by Mr. Ufkes to exit executive session at 8:07 p.m. Roll call: Mr. Ufkes/yes; Mr. Burling/yes; Mr. Menn/yes; Mrs. Jones/yes; Mr. Gooding/yes; Mrs. Markley/yes; Mrs. Graham/yes. Motion carried 7-0.
