City of Bushnell City Council Met Feb. 15.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

Mayor Wilt called the meeting to order.

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given.

Roll Call

Ald. Donna Coates - P    Ald. Greg Yocum –P     Mayor Robin Wilt – P              Public Works Director Justin Griffith -P

Treasurer

*City Treasurer Dan Cortelyou reported on the revenues for the month of January and year

to date.

*Cortelyou stated he is still working on the budgets.

Consent Agenda

Ald. Lorton made a motion to approve the consent agenda which includes.

1. Approval of Minutes from February 1, 2021

2. Accept January Financial Report.

Ald. Yocum seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Where upon Mayor Wilt declared the motion carried.

Ad Hoc (Mayor’s Report

1. Mayor Wilt stated that she is going to meet with a representative from IPEA/IMEA on

Thursday, February 18th at 10:30 to discuss the spikes in the natural gas prices.

2. Mayor Wilt stated that there was some incorrect information on the city’s Wikipedia cite.

Personnel/Finance/Budget

*Nothing to Report

Public Works

*Ald. C Howell thanked Justin Griffith for his service. Justin’s last day will be February 24th.

Police/Liquor/ESDA

*Police Chief Fosdyck stated they are still taking applications for a police officer.

Real Estate/Parks/Recreation

*Ald. Coates stated she would set up a meeting to discuss the Recreation Center.

Engineering

*Nothing to report

Contracts

*Ald. Glisan mentioned that garbage pickup would be a day later this week due to the

Weather.

Attorney’s Report/Ordinances & Resolutions

*City Attorney Chuck Laegeler stated he would be in court on Thursday 18th for the Patty

Sullivan case, and on Tuesday, 23rd for Ordinance Violations.

Ald. Lorton made a motion at 5:46 to enter into executive session to a)Appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of an employee of the public body or legal counsel

For the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c) (1) of the Open Meetings Act.

Ald. C Howell seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Where upon Mayor Wilt declared the motion carried.

Ald. Lorton made a motion at 6:15 to return to regular session. Ald. C Howell seconded the motion.

A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Ald. Yocum“aye”         Ald. Glisan“aye”

Ald. Allen“aye”            Ald. Coates“aye”

Where upon Mayor Wilt declared the motion carried.

The council agreed with a general consensus to let Mayor Wilt assign a committee to fill Justin Griffith’s position.

Ald. Allen made a motion to adjourn.

Meeting was adjourned at 6:17.
