McDonough County Human Resources and Planning Committee Met July 8.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

The Human Resources and Planning Committee met at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the  McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee Members in attendance included Chair, Vice Chair Deckle  McLean, George Dixon, Michael Kirby, and Dave Nissen. Members absent were Chair Letha Clark, Cindi Helling and, Rod  McGrew. Others in attendance included County Chair Scott Schwerer, Patrick Stout, John Vigezzi, Karen Blakely and County Clerk DeJaynes. 

Vice Chair Deckle McLean called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 

Review and Approve Minutes from June 10, 2021 

Member Dixon moved with a second by Member Kirby to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried with a  voice vote. 

Animal Control Report 

Dr. Karen Blakely gave a report on the care of some of the animals in need of her assistance. No Animal Control Report  was provided. 

Propane Contract 

County Chair Schwerer moved with a second by Member Kirby to approve option three of the Propane Contract. Motion  carried on a voice vote. 

Policies & Procedures 

Humane Society 

GIS Update 

Member Kirby gave the report. 

Claims 

Member Dixon moved with a second by Member Nissen to approve claims as submitted. Motion carried on voice vote.  

Other 

Vice Chair McLean stated that he spoke with Allegra about the new shelter sign. They informed him they are working on  it. 

County Board Chair Comments 

County Chair Schwerer read a letter of resignation from Member Marcia Twaddle. 

Adjourn 

Member Kirby moved with a second by Member Dixson to adjourn the meeting at 7:19 p.m. Motion carried on a voice  vote.
