McDonough County Board Elms/Building and Grounds Committee Met July 13.
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:
The Elms/Building and Grounds Committee met at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee Members in attendance included, Chair Larry Aurelio, Vice Chair Terra Lithchfield, Dave Cortelyou, Mike Cox, Travis Hiel, and Deckle McLean. Member absent was Cindi Helling.
Others in attendance included County Board Chair Scott Schwerer, County Clerk Gretchen DeJaynes, Elms Administrator
Tim Bledsoe, Debbie Dallefeld, Patrick Stout and Chad Wilson.
Chair Larry Aurelio called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Review and Approval of June 8, 2021 Minutes
Member McLean moved with a second by Member Hiel to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Farm Report
County Chair Schwerer stated that its wet. He also informed the Committee that there is no storm damage.
Administrator’s Report
Census is at 65, with 4 being Medicare, 30 being Medicaid and, 19 private pay. Medicare currently owes $135,386.74.
There were 38 admissions and, 39 discharges.
Administrator Bledsoe introduced Debbie Dallefeld to the Committee as the new Marketing Director.
Financial Report
Member Hiel moved with a second by Member Cortelyou to approve the June 2021 Financial Reports. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Elms Claims
Member Cox moved with a second by Member Litchfield to approve the Elm’s claims as submitted. Motion carried with a roll call vote of 6 yeas, 0 nays, 1 vacant and 1 absent.
Macomb Public Building Commission
Member Cox gave the report.
McDonough County Maintenance Directors Report
Chad Wilson gave the report. Wilson informed the Committee that the brick mason will start next week. Wilson also inquired about having the brick mason bid the removal of the walls on the room outside of the States Attorneys office.
Member Cortelyou moved with a second by Member Litchfield to move forward with the project if it can all be done for under $20,000.00.
Wilson also informed the Committee that the emergency buttons in the elevator are not working but should be fixed this week.
Building and Grounds Claims
Member Cortelyou moved with a second by Member Hiel to approve the June Building and Grounds Claims. Motion carried on a voice vote.
McDonough County Maintenance Director Thomas Lowe Resignation Letter
The Committee will place an add and allow a month for responses.

County Chair Schwerer informed the Committee that Marcia Twaddle resigned

Member Cortelyou moved with a second by Member Hiel to adjourn the meeting at 7:42 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
