Illinois College issued the following announcement on Sept. 27

The Illinois College Fine Arts Series will kick off its 42nd season of bringing outstanding, inspiring music to the Jacksonville area next month.

The season opens on Oct. 10 with an outdoor performance by the Illinois College Drumline at 3 p.m. in front of the Rammelkamp Chapel.

The series will also host the Music Wall Duo on Nov. 20 in Rammelkamp Chapel. Other season highlights include class of 2000 alumnus Homer Ferguson III playing the organ in Rammelkamp Chapel in February and the Stan Kenton Legacy Orchestra 18-piece ensemble in March. IC’s own soprano extraordinaire Mathilda Edge ’11 will conclude the season in April.
