Report: Jacksonville School District spent $11,934 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Jacksonville School District 117 was up 33.2 percent from five years ago, according to the West Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Morgan County school district spent $8,960 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,934 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 3,562 to 3,231 students over the same period.

Jacksonville's spending in 2019-20 was 17.7 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
