Report: Warsaw School District spent $9,950 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Warsaw Community Unit School District 316 was up 8.7 percent from five years ago, according to the West Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Hancock County school district spent $9,152 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,950 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 399 to 380 students over the same period.

Warsaw's spending in 2019-20 was 31.3 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
