Report: La Harpe School District spent $12,916 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at La Harpe Community School District 347 was up 12.7 percent from five years ago, according to the West Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Hancock County school district spent $11,456 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,916 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 231 to 213 students over the same period.

La Harpe's spending in 2019-20 was 10.9 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
