Home prices increased in Hamilton during the fourth quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2019 in Hamilton rose by $59,710 while total sales decreased by 25%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2019, there were nine homes sold, with a median sale price of $130,000 - a 84.9% increase over the $70,290 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 12 homes sold in Hamilton in the fourth quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Hamilton for 2019 was $1,732. In 2018, the median sales tax was $1,793. This marks an decrease of 3.4%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.3%.
