Pricing for the median home in Dallas City decreased during the second half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2018 in Dallas City fell by $39,000 while total sales increased by 150%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2018, there were 10 homes sold, with a median sale price of $28,500 - a 57.8% decrease over the $67,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in Dallas City in the second half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Dallas City for 2018 was $1,067. In 2017, the median sales tax was $1,144. This marks an decrease of 6.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 3.7%.
