April 2019: Home prices in Carthage increased

The median sale price of a home sold in April 2019 in Carthage rose by $22,500 while total sales increased by 33.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In April 2019, there were four homes sold, with a median sale price of $57,500 - a 64.3% increase over the $35,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were three homes sold in Carthage in April 2018.

The median sales tax in Carthage for 2019 was $1,547. In 2018, the median sales tax was $1,578. This marks an decrease of 2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.7%.
