Report: Pikeland School District spent $10,389 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Pikeland Community Unit School District 10 was up 16.2 percent from five years ago, according to the West Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Pike County school district spent $8,939 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,389 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,311 to 1,176 students over the same period.

Pikeland's spending in 2019-20 was 28.3 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
