Mayor Wilt called the meeting to order

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given.

*City Treasurer Betsy Rench stated she is working on the budget.

*Rench stated the grant finder account is back up so we can look for grants.

Consent Agenda

Ald. Lorton made a motion to approve the consent agenda which includes.

1. Approval of Minutes from February 7, 2022

2. Accept January Financial/Treasurers Report.

Ald. Yocum seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Where upon Mayor Wilt declared the motion carried

Ad hoc (Mayor’s Report)

*Mayor Wilt spoke at the Women’s club meeting last week.

*They had a great turnout for the Shaffer benefit.

*3/11/2022 – Fire Department Music Trivia at the VFW

*4/5/2022 – Rural quality of life at the Recreation Center

Public Works

*Minutes from 2/16/2022 meeting

Ald. Lorton made a motion to pay IMEG $7,000 to prepare the plans, specification and permit application for the water tower improvements. Ald. Yocum seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Ald. Havens “aye”      Ald. Baker “aye”

Ald. Yocum “aye”

Ald. Allen “aye”

Where upon Mayor Wilt declared the motion carried.

*Ald. Lorton stated the well should be online by the first week in March.

Ald. Lorton made a motion to pass the Interconnect Agreement policy. Ald. Yocum seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

*Ald. Yocum stated they were getting a bid from Batson’s for paint for the Rec Center

*Ald. Yocum also said they would talk to David about oil & chipping the Rec Center parking lot.

Engineering Report

*Megan Crook from IMEG stated the bid opening for the West Side Lagoon Sludge Dredging would be March 15, 2022 at 10:00 at the City Hall.

Economic Development

*Next meeting Monday, February 28, 2022 @ 4:00 at the City Hall.

Attorney’s Report/Ordinances & Resolutions

*No report
