Rep. Randy Frese (R-Quincy) is spreading the word about his planned visit to the Jacksonville area scheduled for July 11.

“To my Jacksonville and surrounding area friends: I‘ll be visiting The Little Stove  this coming Monday (July 11),” he recently posted on Facebook. “I would love for you to come out and chat with me. Looking forward to meeting you! And if you haven’t visited this delicious Jacksonville eatery, don’t wait. This is my not my first visit and I’ve enjoyed it tremendously.”

The two-hour event is set to kick off at the Little Stove (56 N. Central Park) at 5 p.m. and is open to the public.

First elected in 2015, Frese won reelection to the 99th District in the Republican primary in June by running unopposed. He is running unopposed in the November general election.

Marking the Memorial Day holiday, Frese recently called on his constituents to honor the sacrifices of service members who lost their lives.

"This Memorial Day, take a moment to remember and honor the service members who have given their lives so that we can be free," he told the Quincy Reporter. "Let us never forget their sacrifice, courage, and devotion to our nation. God bless our fallen heroes."
