The Western Illinois men are back in action after a week off, hitting the road once again to take on Texas-Rio Grande Valley. The Leathernecks are 3-2 all-time vs. UTRGV with the last meeting coming in 2008 when UTGRV was Texas Pan-American.

The Leathernecks dropped their second-second straight game, falling at Central Florida 70-37. A 21-4 run by UCF in the last 11 minutes of the first half gave the Knights a 37-18 lead at the break. Western Illinois was playing its fourth game of the week and without preseason First Team Summit League guard Trenton Massner.
