City of Macomb Committee of the Whole met Nov. 28.

Here is the agenda provided by the committee:

MEETING CALLED TO ORDER

PUBLIC COMMENTS – Citizens wishing to address the City Council on matters germane to the agenda of the meeting will be limited to Three (3) minutes and are asked to be brief and concise in making their remarks. Comments submitted by mail or email will not be read aloud but a copy will be provided to each member of the Council and made a part of the minutes.

1. Discussion on Spring Lake Park Management and Maintenance Agreement between the City and Spring Lake Management, Inc.

A memo from CA Coker is attached along with a copy of the agreement. Discussion is planned.

2. Discussion on an ordinance amending the Macomb/Bushnell Enterprise Zone within McDonough County, Illinois.

This ordinance had first reading last Monday night and further discussion is planned.

3. Discussion on an ordinance to authorize the issuance of a Special Use Permit to allow first floor residential in a B-3 Downtown Business District at 129-133 South Lafayette Street, Macomb, McDonough County, Illinois.

This ordinance had first reading last Monday night and further discussion is planned.

4. Discussion on an ordinance to authorize the issuance of a Special Use Permit to allow first floor residential in a B-3 Downtown Business District at 135 South Lafayette Street, Macomb, McDonough County, Illinois.

This ordinance had first reading last Monday night and further discussion is planned.

5. Discussion on an ordinance to amend Chapter 7 to add Article VIII concerning registration of certain vacant and foreclosing properties.

This ordinance had first reading last Monday night and further discussion is planned.

6. Discussion on an ordinance amending Chapter 13 of the Macomb Municipal Code. This ordinance had first reading last Monday night and further discussion is planned.

7. Other business.

Executive Session

To consider information relative to:

a) Appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of an employee of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(1) of the Open Meetings Act.

b) Collective Bargaining matters between the public body and its employees or representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(2) of the Open Meetings Act.

c) The purchase or lease of real property for the use of the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(5) of the Open Meetings Act.

d)The setting of a price for sale or lease of property owned by the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(6) of the Open Meetings Act.

e) Pending or probable litigation, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(11) of the Open Meetings Act.
