Robert Snyder gave the Public Works Director report. Robert said they went to Centralia to look at a street sweeper and they were asking $25,500 and he was disappointed in the condition of the sweeper and didn’t think it was worth that much money. Robert said he has been told not to get vacuum street sweeper, because if you don’t have a level street it won’t work good, so he is still looking for one. The City crew has been cleaning up from the Apple Festival. On Saturday of the Apple Festival he was called about a water leak that was by the Baptist Church and got lucky and found the shut off valve and the only ones affected from this was The Baptist Church and David Smith’s garage. The check meters have been installed at Ascend so we can check how much water is being used. Mayor Rennecker stated that Pittsfield let us use their street sweeper to clean streets before the Apple Festival.

Jeff Hogge gave the City Administrator report. He said for the fall clean-up we filled 5 dumpsters but was charged for 6 because that was what we had, helped with fall clean-up and helped with putting the stage up for the Apple Festival. Also attended meetings, one

was to do with the apartment building on Bainbridge Street. Ruthie’s Flower Shop has had some interest in it.

Mayor Rennecker discussed the door replacement at the Library and Pool shelter house. This is tabled to later meeting.
