City of Bushnell City Council met Oct 3.

*City Treasurer Betsy Rench stated that she had emailed the auditors to see where they were on the Audit.
Consent Agenda
Ald. Lorton made a motion to approve the consent agenda which includes.
1. Approval of Minutes from September 19, 2022
2. Approve August Financial report
3. Approve and Pay September Bills
Ald. Yocum seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

*Mayor Wilt was proud to be in the Homecoming parade
* Halloween Trick or Treat hours will be the 30th & 31st from 6:00 to 8:00
Personnel/Finance/Budget

Public Works
*Utility Supervisor Joe Fosdyck stated that we could lock in 25% of our natural gas for $5.17,
The council agreed with general consensus to lock it in for a couple years.
*Fosdyck stated he needed an ad in the paper for a Gas Serviceman and an Electric Dept. Employee.
Police/Liquor/ESDA
*Activity report for September
*Next meeting Wednesday, October 12, 2022 4:00 @ Complex
*Jeff Rench from ESDA reported that he had been to a couple of meetings about the CO2 Pipeline.
Parks/Recreation/Real Estate
*Minutes from the September 26, 2022 meeting
*Ald. Coates stated that the Park District would be having a movie in the park on the 29th at 7:00.
*On the 30th the VFW Auxiliary will be having a parade @ 4:30 and Trunk or Treat at 5:00.
*The committee met with the Park District and the Brewer family to discuss a location for the splash park. They are looking at a place at the VFW park on a parcel of land owned by the City. They are looking to see if there are any available grants for this project, as the city may have to run a new water line to this project. The council agreed with general consensus to the location of the Splash Park.
*Ald. Yocum stated that new wireless thermostats and cages are on order for the Rec. Center.
*Ald. Yocum also stated that there were some repairs that needed to be done at the Rec. Center, new faucets in the cleaning room, siding missing or warped, outside lights looking bad, outside doors rusting. Ald. Baker volunteered to go and take a look at it.
*The committee is also looking to replace the door and lock to the fitness room, as it is not working at this time.
Engineering
*Greg Ryckaert from IMEG stated they had met with Jared Dexter from WIRC about grants for The Splash Pad.
*Ryckaert stated that they are ready to get quotes for the demolition of the Pierce Building. Economic Development
*Ald. Allen stated they would like to void the current lease for the Depot and have the City Take it back over.
Ald. Allen made a motion to void the current lease with the Bushnell Coalition Group and have the City take over the Depot. Ald. Coates seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Attorney’s Report/Ordinances & Resolutions
*City Attorney Nick Tinsman stated he had several ordinance violations.
*Tinsman also has the document for Dwight Taflinger for work done in the alley.
