McDonough County Board Road & Bridge Committee met Oct. 6.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

The McDonough County Road and Bridge Committee held their monthly meeting at 7:00 P.M. The Meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee Members present included Chair Dave Cortelyou, Vice Chair Mike Cox, Lee Calvert, Eric Chapman, George Dixon, Craig Foster, Dick Marcott, and Rod McGrew. Other persons in attendance: Dave Cadwalader, Patrick Stout, County Engineer Megan, Scott Hance Crook, County Chair Scott Schwerer, and County Clerk Gretchen DeJaynes.

Chair Dave Cortelyou called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.

Review Minutes from September 1, 2022

Member Calvert moved with a second by Member Foster to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Approve Agreement with Maurer-Stutz for Phase 1 Engineering for Bergen Road Bridge (CH-26)

Member Marcott moved with a second by Member Dixon to approve the Agreement with Maurer-Stutz for Phase 1

Engineering for Bergen Road Bridge (CH-26). Motion carried on a voice vote.

Starr Bridge Update

Engineer Crook gave an update. The State of Illinois is looking into seeing if the bridge is historic.

Discuss Hiring a Maintenance Employee

They will have an interview next week.

September Work Report

Report given by Dave Cadwalader.

Claims

Member Foster moved with a second by Member Chapman to approve the claims submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Other Business

None.

County Chair Comments

County Chair Schwerer inquired about when the striping will be done. He informed the Committee that union negotiations should start in a few weeks.

Adjourn

Member Chapman moved with a second by Member Marcott to adjourn the meeting voice vote.
