McDonough County Board Finance Committee met Nov. 9.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

The monthly Finance Committee meeting was held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee members present were Chair Travis Hiel, Vice Chair Larry Aurelio, Letha Clark, Dave Cortelyou, Mike Cox, Joe Erlandson, and Dave Nissen. Others in attendance included Patrick Stout, Chris Pumo, Marilyn Shelley, Tammie Shelley, County Chair Scott Schwerer, and County Clerk Gretchen DeJaynes.

Chair Hiel called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Review and Approve Minutes from October 12, 2022

Member Nissen moved with a second by Member Erlandson to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Review and Approve Minutes from October 16, 2022

Member Clark moved with a second by Member Erlandson to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

MCPT Report Review & Approval

The monthly invoice for October, 2022 was reviewed. Member Cortelyou moved with a second by Member Clark to approve the MCPT invoice in the amount of $1,272.00 for October, 2022. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Bushnell Senior Meals Report Review & Approval

The monthly invoice for October, 2022 was reviewed. Member Erlandson moved with a second by Member Nissen to approve the YMCA invoice in the amount of $847.04 for October, 2022. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Coroner Report

The monthly Coroner Report was received and filed.

Monthly Financial Reports

The monthly Financial Reports were received and filed.

Transfer of Funds

None.

Warrants Issued in Vacation

Member Cortelyou moved with a second by Member Erlandson to approve the Warrants Issued in Vacation. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Insurance Update

None.

Discuss ARPA Funds Action

Member Cox gave a brief overview.

Discuss MCPT Contract

No report.

Pumo Insurance – Chris Pumo

Chris Pumo reviewed the County’s insurance for FY 2023. The total bill will decrease by approximately $45,000.00. Pumo will also look into cyber coverage.

Approve Insurance Renewal

Member Aurelio moved with a second by Member Erlandson to approve the Insurance Renewal. Motion carried on a voice vote.

State’s Attorney – Matt Kwacala

Not present.

Approve Various FY 2022 Budget Resolutions

None.

Approval of Claims

Member Aurelio moved with a second by Member Clark to approve the Claims as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Executive Session

None.

Other

None.

County Board Chair Comments

County Chair Schwerer informed the Committee that Macomb Youth Leadership Organization is wanting to have a tour of the Courthouse and he is looking for someone to give the tour.

Member Aurelio moved with a second by Member Clark to adjourn the meeting at 7:40 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
