City of Macomb Committee of the Whole met Feb. 13.

The Committee of the Whole, of the Macomb City Council, met in the City Council Chambers on Monday, February 13, 2023 at 5:15 p.m. located in City Hall at 232 East Jackson Street, Macomb, IL.
Mayor Michael Inman called the meeting to order and roll call was taken, City Clerk Renee Lotz called the roll and the following were present: Aldermen Mike Wayland, John Vigezzi, Don Wynn, Tom Koch, Tammie Leigh Brown Edwards and Dennis Moon. Alderman Ashley Katz was absent.
In addition to the Mayor, City Clerk and Aldermen, City Administrator Scott Coker, City Attorney Lisa Scalf, CDC John Bannon were in attendance.
Public Comment. None
The first item on the agenda for discussion was on an ordinance to create a Class E Liquor License submitted by Western Illinois Museum, Located at 201 South Lafayette Street, Macomb, Illinois. This ordinance had first read last Monday night.
Alderman Moon asked how many events the license allowed for.
City Attorney Scalf reported fifty-two events are allowed per year.
Alterman Brown-Edwards asked the petitioner, Sue Scott, how many events the museum was planning. Sue Scott, Administrator stated they were planning for thirty-five events.
There was no further discussion.
The second item on the agenda for discussion was on an ordinance amending Chapter 4 of the Macomb Municipal Code and creating a Class V License Classification. This ordinance had first read last Monday night. There was no further discussion.
The third item on the agenda for discussion was on an ordinance to authorize the issuance of a Special Use Permit to allow cellular tower in an AG-1 Agriculture Zoning District at 517 Tower Rd., Macomb, IL 61455, Macomb, McDonough County, Illinois. This ordinance had first read last Monday night. There was no further discussion.
There was no further business.
Upon a motion being made by Alderman Vigezzi, seconded by Alderman Wynn to adjourn into executive session to consider information relative to: a) Appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of an employee of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(1) of the Open Meetings Act., on question being put, Aldermen Wayland, Vigezzi, Wynn, Koch, Brown-Edwards, and Moon being all Aldermen voting “Aye” on roll call and no “Nay” votes, Mayor Inman declared the motion carried and they adjourned into executive session at 5:20 p.m.
Alderman Vigezzi moved, seconded by Alderman Wayland to move back into open session, all Aldermen voting “Aye” by voice vote, and no “Nay” votes Mayor Inman declared the motion carried and they returned to open session at 5:29 p.m.
There being no further business to come before the Council, Alderman Wynn moved, seconded by Alderman Vigezzi to adjourn the meeting, all Aldermen voting “Aye” by voice vote, and no “Nay” votes, Mayor Inman declared the motion carried and they adjourned the meeting at 5:29 p.m.
