McDonough County Board Road & Bridge Committee met July 6.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

The McDonough County Road and Bridge Committee held their monthly meeting on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 7:00 P.M. The Meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee Members present included Chair Dave Cortelyou, Vice Chair Craig Foster, Eric Chapman, Mike Cox, Jerry Raby, and Jarad Royer. Members Travis Hiel and George Dixon were absent. Other persons in attendance: Patrick Stout, County Engineer Megan Crook, County Chair Scott Schwerer, and County Clerk Gretchen DeJaynes. 

Chair Dave Cortelyou called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.

Review Minutes from June 1, 2023

Member Foster moved with a second by Member Royer to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Approve Resolution for 2023 PP Material Letting

Member Foster moved with a second by Member Cox to approve the Resolution for 2023 PP Material Letting. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Work Report

Report given by County Engineer Megan Crook.

Claims

Member Chapman moved with a second by Member Foster to approve the claims submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Other Business

County Engineer Crook informed the Committee that the City of Macomb has a lot of mulch that is free and they need to get it used. The star bridge project is still sitting on IDOT’s desk.

County Chair Comments

County Chair Schwerer thanked the Highway Department employees for helping the City of Macomb.

Adjourn

Member Foster moved with a second by Member Cox to adjourn the meeting at 7:15 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
