City of Macomb Committee of the Whole met Aug. 28.

Here is the agenda provided by the committee:

MEETING CALLED TO ORDER

ROLL CALL

PUBLIC COMMENTS - Citizens wishing to address the City Council on matters germane to the agenda of the meeting will be limited to Three (3) minutes and are asked to be brief and concise in making their remarks. Comments submitted by mail or email will not be read aloud but a copy will be provided to each member of the Council and made a part of the minutes.

1. Discussion on an Ordinance Annexing Certain Territory Located in Section 33, Township 6 North Range 2 West, within McDonough County, Illinois.

This ordinance had first reading at Monday night Council. Discussion is planned.

2. Discussion on an Ordinance to Authorize the Issuance of a Special Use Permit to allow a Greenhouse in an R-2 Single Family Residential Zoning District at 1003 East Carroll Street, Macomb, McDonough County, Illinois.

This ordinance had first reading at Monday night Council. Discussion is planned.

3. Discussion on bids received for Macomb Fire Station Roof Replacement, HVAC Improvements, and Entrance Pavement Replacement.

A memo from Fire Chief Meyer is attached along with a copy of the bid tabulation sheet. Discussion is planned.

4. Discussion on bids received for Tuckpointing City Hall Wall and Depot project.

A memo from Building Inspector Lenardt is attached along with a copy of the bid tabulation sheet. Discussion is planned.

5. Quarterly Reports by Department.

City Attorney, Business Office, Public Works, Marketing & Downtown Development, Fire, Police, Community Development.

Executive Session

To consider information relative to:

a) Appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of an employee of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(1) of the Open Meetings Act.

b) Collective Bargaining matters between the public body and its employees or representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(2) of the Open Meetings Act.

c) The purchase or lease of real property for the use of the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(5) of the Open Meetings Act.

d) The setting of a price for sale or lease of property owned by the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(6) of the Open Meetings Act.

e) Pending or probable litigation, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(11) of the Open Meetings Act.
