PITTSFIELD, USA - State Representative C.D. Davidsmeyer recently wrapped up his highly successful Summer Reading Club, themed "Wild About Reading," for students from kindergarten through 5th grade in the 100th District. As a culmination of their reading achievements, the students were treated to a delightful pizza party at the Pittsfield Library last week.

Rep. Davidsmeyer expressed his sincere appreciation to all the readers and libraries across the district that actively participated in the program, helping young minds delve into captivating books covering a range of topics including nature, sports, history, science, and the wonders of the world and universe.

"Thank you to all of the readers and to the libraries around the district who work with our young people to discover interesting books about nature, sports, history, science, the world and universe!" said State Rep. C.D. Davidsmeyer.

The Summer Reading Club, a brainchild of Rep. Davidsmeyer, aimed to encourage children to develop a love for reading during their summer break. By providing a stimulating and engaging environment, the program sought to nurture their curiosity and expand their knowledge.

Throughout the summer, students eagerly devoured a diverse selection of books, exploring fascinating narratives and acquiring valuable insights. The program not only promoted literacy but also fostered a sense of adventure and exploration among the young participants.

The pizza party at the Pittsfield Library served as a delightful celebration of the students' accomplishments. Their dedication and enthusiasm were acknowledged by Rep. Davidsmeyer, who commended the young readers for their commitment to expanding their intellectual horizons.
