Macomb Senior High School had the highest enrollment among McDonough County schools, welcoming 586 students during the 2021-22 school year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

Out of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 52.7% of the students were girls, and 47.3% were boys.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 73.9% of the student body at Macomb Senior High School.

Among the 12 schools in McDonough County, Lincoln Elementary School ranked second in enrollment with 491 students, while Edison Elementary School welcomed 435 students to be ranked third in the 2021-22 school year.

Macomb Senior High School is a part of Macomb Community Unit School District 185, which generally encompasses schools within McDonough County with its main office in Macomb.
