City of Bushnell City Council met Oct. 16.

Mayor Wilt called the meeting to order

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given.

*City Treasurer Betsy Rench stated she will be starting on the Levy.

Consent Agenda

Ald. Norton made a motion to approve the consent agenda which includes.

1. Approval of Minutes from October 2, 2023

2. Accept September Financial/Treasurers Report.

Ald. Yocum seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Ald. Webb “aye”           Ald. Allen “aye”

Ald. Havens “aye”        Ald. Burkholder “aye”

Where upon Mayor Wilt declared the motion carried.

Ad hoc (Mayor’s Report)

*Mayor Wilt reminded council to turn in their time sheets

*Employees can get a flu shot on Wednesday from 2-4 at the High School

Personnel/Finance/Budget

*Next meeting October 26th @ City Hall 4:00

Public Works

Ald. Yocum made a motion to accept Bob Whites bid for $22,046.00 for the sidewalk in front of Sam’s Barbershop. Ald. Norton seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Ald. Havens “aye”         Ald. Allen “aye”

Ald. Norton “aye”          Ald. Baker “aye”

Ald. Burkholder “aye”    Ald. Coates “aye”

Where upon Mayor Wilt declared the motion carried.

*Water Tower – they are waiting on the stencil, when they get it, they should be done in 2 days.

*Need to advertise for a new Meter reader/gas serviceman

Police/Liquor/ESDA

*Minutes from the 10/10/2023 meeting.

*Working on unsafe and/or abandon properties

*The tire pickup will be postponed till spring.

*Jeff Rench with ESDA reported he will be having a conference call with FEMA about the storm damage.

Real Estate/Parks/Recreation

*Minutes from the October 4, 2023 meeting.

*Ald. Webb stated they would be doing a promotion for the Fitness Center memberships.

*Halloween Trick or Treat hours will be the 30th & 31st from 6:00 to 8:00

Engineering Report

*Nothing to report

Economic Development

*Next meeting 10/23/2023 4:00 at the Depot.

Attorney’s Report/Ordinances & Resolutions

Ald. Webb made a motion to approve the easement for the Splash Park with the Bushnell Park District. Ald. Coates seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:
