City of Bushnell City Council met Dec. 18.

CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BUSHNELL, ILLINOIS

Mayor Wilt called the meeting to order

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given.

Consent Agenda

Ald. Yocum made a motion to approve the consent agenda which includes.

1. Approval of Minutes from December 18, 2023

2. Accept November Financial/Treasurers Report.

Ald. Havens seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Where upon Mayor Wilt declared the motion carried.

Ad hoc (Mayor’s Report)

*Mayor Wilt reported that she met with the new healthcare provider at the clinic.

Personnel/Finance/Budget

*Next meeting January 4, 2024 @ City Hall 4:00

Public Works

Ald. Yocum made a motion to approve the Resolution for Improvement by Municipality Under the Illinois Highway Code (BLR 09111) for $31,100.00 out of MFT funds. Ald. Norton seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Ald. Webb “aye”             Ald. Yocum “aye”

Ald. Havens “aye”          Ald. Allen “aye”

Ald. Norton “aye”           Ald. Baker “aye”

Ald. Burkholder “aye”    Ald. Coates “aye”

Where upon Mayor Wilt declared the motion carried.

Ald. Yocum made a motion to approve the Estimate of Maintenance Costs. Ald. Havens seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Ald. Yocum made a motion to approve the Intergovernmental Agreements between City of Bushnell and Township for seal coat work. Ald Norton seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Police/Liquor/ESDA

*Minutes from the December 11th meeting

*Special event license need clarified

*They are planning a tire cleanup for spring.

*The new Police truck is ready to be picked up.

*Jeff Rench with ESDA stated FEMA has wrapped up the Cat. A (Street & Alley) be sending a check for storm damage from June 29, 2023. They are still working on the electric side.

Real Estate/Parks/Recreation

*Volunteers put filler in at the Splash Park location, ground breaking will be in the Spring.

Engineering Report

*Lead Service line Inventory grant application -IEPA to notify officially on if receive $40,000 grant on December 20, 2023

Economic Development

*Next meeting 1/9/2024 4:30 at the Rec Center

*Donations are coming in for the “Let the Sparks Fly” fundraiser for the Fireworks.

Attorney’s Report/Ordinances & Resolutions

*City Attorney Nick Tinsman stated that the Park District has a meeting tonight and they will

Sign off on the easements for the Splash Park.

Ald. Allen made a motion to adjourn.
