McDonough County Board Road & Bridge Committee met Feb. 1.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

The McDonough County Road and Bridge Committee held their monthly meeting on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 7:00 P.M. The Meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee Members present included Vice Chair Craig Foster, Eric Chapman, Travis Hiel, Jerry Raby, and Jarad Royer. Chair Dave Cortelyou, Members Mike Cox and George Dixon were absent. Other persons in attendance: Dave Cadwalader, Patrick Stout, County Engineer Megan Crook, County Chair Scott Schwerer, and County Clerk Gretchen DeJaynes.

Vice Chair Craig Foster called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.

Review Minutes from January 4, 2024

Member Chapman moved with a second by Member Raby to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Approve County Aid to Bridge Resolutions for Project 2351-46 Chalmer’s Township and Project 2345-19 Hire Township Member Hiel moved with a second by Member Chapman to approve County Aid to Bridge Resolutions for Project 2351-46 Chalmer’s Township and Project 2345-19 Hire Township. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Approve Request for Approval to Seek Bids for 24 PP Program, 24 Material Quotations (MFT & Non-MFT) Member Raby moved with a second by Member Chapman to grant County Engineer Crook the authority to act. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Approve Supplemental MFT Resolution

Member Royer moved with a second by Member Raby to Approve the Supplemental MFT Resolution. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Award Bergen Road Bridge Project to County Contractors for their Low Bid of $562,305.00

Member Hiel moved with a second by Member Chapman to Award the Bergen Road Bridge Project to County Contractors for their Low Bid of $562,305.00. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Approve Agreement with Hutchison Engineering for Bridge Replacement on Teton Road-Section 13-17127-00-BR No action taken.

Discuss Mailbox Policy

Engineer Crook will send an update to the Committee.

Member Chapman moved with a second by Member Raby to approve the claims submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
