City of Macomb Committee of the Whole met May 9.

PUBLIC COMMENTS – Citizens wishing to address the City Council on matters germane to the agenda of the meeting will be limited to Three (3) minutes and are asked to be brief and concise in making their remarks. Comments submitted by mail or email will not be read aloud but a copy will be provided to each member of the Council and made a part of the minutes.
1. Discussion on an Ordinance Amending Chapter 17 of the Macomb Municipal Code Pertaining to the Lodging/Boarding/Rooming House.
This ordinance had first reading May 6, 2024. Discussion is planned.
2. Discussion on Authorization to Purchase a 2024 Dodge Ram 1500 Classic Crew Cab 4x4 Truck in the amount of $45,325.09 for the Macomb Police Department.
A memo from Chief Hamer is attached. Discussion is planned.
3. Other Business.

To consider information relative to:
a) Appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of an employee of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(1) of the Open Meetings Act.
b) Collective Bargaining matters between the public body and its employees or representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(2) of the Open Meetings Act.
c) The purchase or lease of real property for the use of the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(5) of the Open Meetings Act.
d) The setting of a price for sale or lease of property owned by the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(6) of the Open Meetings Act.
