City of Bushnell City Council met May 6.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

Mayor Wilt called the meeting to order

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given.

*City Treasurer Betsy Rench stated that she has filed the annual ARPA report and the USDA Water & Sewer Report.

Consent Agenda

Ald. Yocum made a motion to approve the consent agenda which includes.

1. Approval of Minutes from April 22, 2024 & Special Mtgs. 4/4/24, 4/8/24

2. Approve Match Financial Report

3. Approve & Pay April bills

Ald. Webb seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Personnel/Finance/Budget

Ald. Webb made a motion to approve the employee compensation for Fiscal Year 2024/25.

HI: Continue Premiums Cost Share @ 90/10%

IMRF: Continuer Current Support

All Full-Time Hourly Employees not governed by bargaining unit contracts to receive an increase of 5%

Supervisors: To receive an increase of 5%

Crossing Guards: Increase up to $15.75/hr.

ESDA Coordinator: Increase up to $4200.00 /yr.

ACO: $500.00 / mo.

Public Relations Position: Increase up to $3,780 / yr.

Part-time Police: Increase up to $20.70 / hr.

All Increases effective May 1, 2024

Public Works

Ald. Yocum made a motion to approve the purchase a replacement Fairbanks 6” Model B5443 Vertical Sewage Pump – cost $21,775.00. Ald. Webb seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

*MTC, High Speed Internet request a City Permit for rights to install Fiber Optics within City Limits.

*Water meter damage charge.

Police/Liquor/ESDA

*Ald. Baker reported that 1317 tires were dropped off during the tire pickup.

*Next meeting 5/13/24 , 4:00 @ Complex

*Jeff Rench with ESDA reported that the City has received two checks from FEMA for storm Damage, one for $85,231.07 for the Gas department and one for $47,439.51 for the street Department.

Real Estate/Parks/Recreation

*Ald. Webb stated they are looking into a Sponsorship program for the Rec Center

*Construction meeting 5/7/24 for the Splash Park @ 5:00 at the Park

*The committee is working with Batson’s on the plumbing project for the Rec. Center

Engineering Report

Ald. Yocum made a motion to approve the final MFT program with Supplemental Resolution, Revised Estimate of Cost and approval of Engineering Agreements. Ald. Burkholder seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Economic Development

*Ald. Allen stated there are people inquiring about having alcohol at the Depot. City Attorney

Nick Tinsman will work on a special liquor license for that purpose.

Attorney’s Report/ Ordinances & Resolutions

*Nothing to report

Ald. Allen made a motion to adjourn.
