State Representative C.D. Davidsmeyer (R-Murrayville) announced Amanda Terry of Jerseyville as the winner of the first round of his 2024 photo contest. Constituents of all ages in the 100th District are invited to participate in the contest, which aims to capture the beauty and diversity of this west-central Illinois district. Selected photos will be displayed in Davidsmeyer's Capitol office in Springfield for visitors to appreciate and learn about the region's people, places, and daily life.

“Amanda did a great job capturing the beauty of the 100th District,” said Rep. Davidsmeyer. “While this picture was taken from her driveway in Jersey County, this beautiful scenery easily represents scenery throughout west central Illinois and reminds me of home!”

Constituents are encouraged to showcase their skills by taking pictures of local landmarks, wildlife, or events within the 100th District and emailing them with contact information to RepCDDavidsmeyer@gmail.com. Submissions should include First Name, Last Name, Mailing Address, E-mail Address, and Phone Number.

The photo contest runs through 2024 with additional winners chosen on July 15 and August 15. Selected individuals will have their photos framed and displayed in Rep. Davidsmeyer's Springfield Capitol office and will be invited to Springfield for a photo opportunity once their work is exhibited.

The 100th District includes all or portions of Adams, Brown, Calhoun, Greene, Jersey, Macoupin, Madison, Morgan, Pike, and Scott Counties. For more information or a map of the district visit www.CDDavidsmeyer.org.
