A telephone town hall held on Tuesday evening attracted over 1,600 participants. The event included a legislative session update, live poll questions, and an opportunity for constituents to ask questions. A peak of 1,334 constituents joined the hour-long event simultaneously.

The discussion primarily focused on budget priorities and expenditures related to undocumented migrants due to Illinois' "sanctuary state" status. Other topics raised included combating nursing home voting fraud, the hydroelectric potential of the Alton Lock & Dam, the status of repealing gun bans, and business replacements following John Deere's departure from the state.

During the event, several poll questions were posed to participants. When asked about increasing the state budget by $13 billion over four years, 66.1% opposed the increase while 7.1% supported it; 26.8% remained undecided.

Regarding spending on illegal migrants versus military veterans, 87.3% believed more money should not be spent on illegal migrants compared to military veterans; only 9.1% supported increased spending on illegal migrants and 3.6% were undecided.

Participants also identified corruption as the most important issue in their community at 44.1%, followed by taxes (32.4%), education (14.7%), and crime (8.8%).

Constituents who did not hear their questions addressed during the audio replay are encouraged to contact the district office by phone or email for responses.
