On July 31, 2024, Davidsmeyer celebrated summer readers at the Carrollton Public Library. The event aimed to encourage reading and continuous learning among children.

"One of the coolest parts of my job is encouraging reading and to always be learning," Davidsmeyer stated. "All of these kids would have read books through the summer but rewarding them with some pizza and cookies never hurts!"

The program saw participation from over 60 readers this year, with hopes for further growth in the future. "We had over 60 readers this year and look forward to growing our program again next year. Tell a friend and join us!" Davidsmeyer added.

Davidsmeyer also expressed gratitude towards Angie and her library team members Laura and Christine for their efforts in organizing the program. "Thank you to Angie and her library team of Laura and Christine for an outstanding program you provide for the community!"
