McDonough County Board Human Resources and Planning Committee met July 11.

Here are the minutes provided by the Committee:

The Human Resources and Planning Committee met on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, 3 rd Floor, Law Library. Committee Members in attendance included Chair Letha Clark, Dustin Berg, Michael Kirby, Jerry Raby, and Dana Walker. Members Vicky Kipling, George Dixon, and Dave Nissen were absent. Others in attendance included Animal Control Officer Malique Reardon, Patrick Stout, Bonnie Skripps, Karen Blakeley, County Chair Scott Schwerer, and Deputy Clerk Emily Flynn.

Chair Letha Clark called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Review and Approve Minutes from June 13, 2024

Member Walker moved with a second by Member Raby to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Animal Control Report

Animal Control Officer, Malique Reardon gave the report. There was 17 dogs and 21 cats in the shelter at the end of June. Four of the dogs are puppies, and Dr. Blakeley sent twelve kittens to a shelter in Iowa.

Humane Society

They will be having a fundraiser on July 19th, Cat Tails at Yappy Hour.

Review Proposed Resolution for Non-Sanctuary County for Immigration

None.

GIS Update

No report.

Approve West Central FS Inc LP Gas Contract and Approve Preauthorized Payments

Member Berg moved with a second by Member Raby to approve the West Central FS Inc LP Gas Contract and Approve Preauthorized Payments. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Approval of HR & Planning Claims

Member Raby moved with a second by Member Kirby to approve the HR & Planning claims as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
