Last week, a pizza party was held for summer readers at the Jerseyville Public Library. The event celebrated a group of children eager to learn more about the world and explore their interests through reading.

"Children who continue to read over their summer break retain more of what they have already learned and are better prepared to hit the ground running in the new school year," said Davidsmeyer.
