On August 24, State Representative C.D. Davidsmeyer joined first responders, owners, and staff at Westermeyer Industries for a lunch and tour of their new facility in Bluffs, Illinois.
Two years after a catastrophic fire destroyed 75,000 square feet of their Scott County business, Gary and Teresa Westermeyer continue to rebuild and expand their refrigeration business.
In 2001, Gary Westermeyer founded Westermeyer Industries in the garage of his rural home after many years in the manufacturing sector of the refrigeration and air conditioning industry. Today, Westermeyer products are found in refrigerant systems worldwide. The operation has grown from its humble beginnings to occupy more than 100,000 square feet at the plant in Bluffs, Illinois.
