City of Macomb Committee of the Whole met Sept. 9.

Here is the agenda provided by the committee:

MEETING CALLED TO ORDER

ROLL CALL

PUBLIC COMMENTS – Citizens wishing to address the City Council on matters germane to the agenda of the meeting will be limited to Three (3) minutes and are asked to be brief and concise in making their remarks. Comments submitted by mail or email will not be read aloud but a copy will be provided to each member of the Council and made a part of the minutes.

1. Discussion on an Ordinance Authorizing the Issuance of a Special Use Permit to Allow a Large Scale Solar Energy System in an AG-1 Agriculture Zoning District at the Property Located Northeast of the Intersection of US Highway 67 and US Highway 136 (12-000-232-00 and 12- 000-344-00), Macomb, McDonough County, Illinois.

This ordinance had first reading June 17th, 2024. City Attorney Scalf will present for second reading. Committee has POWER TO ACT.

2. Discussion on an Ordinance Approving the First Amendment to Lease Agreement with SPRINTCOM, LLC.

This ordinance had first reading Sept 3, 2024. Discussion is planned.

3. Discussion on an Ordinance Amending Portions of Chapter 4 Concerning Alcoholic Beverages within the Macomb Municipal Code.

This ordinance had first reading Sept 3, 2024. Discussion is planned.

4. Discussion on an Ordinance to Authorize Issuance of a Special Use Permit to Allow Front Yard Parking in an R-1 Single Family Zoning District at 121 Kurlene Drive, Macomb, Illinois, McDonough County, Illinois.

This ordinance had first reading Sept 3, 2024. Discussion is planned.

5. Discussion on an Ordinance to Authorize Issuance of a Special Use Permit to Allow Front Yard Parking in an R-1 Single Family Zoning District at 127 Kurlene Drive, Macomb, Illinois, McDonough County, Illinois.

6. Discussion on an Ordinance Amending Outdoor Café Liquor License for Class A License Holders.

A copy of the ordinance will be presented at Committee. This was discussed at General Government Committee Sept 5, 2024. Discussion is planned.

7. Discussion on City of Macomb Providing Loans for Abating Private Nuisance Trees. This was discussed at General Government Committee Sept 5, 2024. Discussion is planned.

9. Other business.

Executive Session

To consider information relative to:

a) Appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of an employee of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(1) of the Open Meetings Act.

b) Collective Bargaining matters between the public body and its employees or representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(2) of the Open Meetings Act.

c) The purchase or lease of real property for the use of the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(5) of the Open Meetings Act.

d) The setting of a price for sale or lease of property owned by the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(6) of the Open Meetings Act.
