Carthage Elementary School District 317 Board of Education met Aug. 27.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The special meeting of the Carthage E.S.D. #317 Board of Education was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Board President Luke Burling.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Roll call: Mr. Darbyshire/present; Mr. Dickerson/present; Mr. Nelson/present; Mrs. Fitch/present; Mr. Murphy/present; Mr. Burling/present; Mrs. Housewright/present.

There were no individuals present wishing to speak to the Board of Education.

It was moved by Mr. Darbyshire and seconded by Mr. Murphy to enter executive session at 7:01 p.m. for the purpose of discussing personnel. .

Roll Call: Mr. Darbyshire/yes; Mr. Dickerson/yes; Mr. Nelson/yes: Mrs. Fitch/yes; Mr. Murphy/yes; Mr. Burling/yes; Mrs. Housewright/yes. Motion carried 7-0.

It was moved by Mr. Darbyshire and seconded by Mrs. Housewright to exit executive session at 7:11 p.m. Roll Call: Mr. Darbyshire/yes; Mr. Dickerson/yes; Mr. Nelson/yes; Mrs. Fitch/yes; Mr. Murphy/yes; Mr. Burling/yes; Mrs. Housewright/yes. Motion carried 7-0.

It was moved by Mr. Darbyshire and seconded by Mr. Dickerson to terminate Lauren Gronewold from the Middle School secretary position. Roll Call: Mr. Darbyshire/yes; Mr. Dickerson/yes; Mr. Nelson/yes; Mrs. Fitch/yes; Mr. Murphy/yes; Mr. Burling/yes; Mrs. Housewright/yes. Motion carried 7-0.

It was moved by Mr. Darbyshire and seconded by Mrs. Housewright to adjourn the meeting at 7:15 p.m. Roll Call: Mr. Darbyshire/yes; Mr. Dickerson/yes; Mr. Nelson/yes; Mrs. Fitch/yes; Mr. Murphy/yes; Mr. Burling/yes; Mrs. Housewright/yes. Motion carried 7-0.
