The Western Illinois women's tennis team is set to host St. Louis University on Wednesday at 11 a.m. This match marks the Leathernecks' first on-campus game this spring/winter season, as they will compete outdoors in Macomb rather than at the Galesburg indoor facility. Following this home match, the team will travel to Kansas City on Saturday to face the Roos.

The Leathernecks recently secured a victory against Coe College, winning 8-1 in Cedar Rapids. Western Illinois (2-7) dominated the doubles matches against Coe, with teams consisting of Lara Rossetto Diniz de Souza and Paige Grice, Agatha Carbonell and Maria Rybka, and Aina Cortina-Pou and Anna-Evalina Trush each claiming victories.

In singles competition, Rossetto Diniz de Souza, Grice, Carbonell, Rybka, and Trush all achieved straight-set wins.

St. Louis University holds a 6-0 record overall and recently defeated Lindenwood 7-0 on February 28. Meanwhile, Kansas City enters the week with a 2-7 record. Last March, Western Illinois lost 7-0 to St. Louis. Additionally, WIU has an all-time record of 0-3 against Kansas City, most recently losing 7-0 to the Roos last year.
