Western Illinois University has announced the addition of Karlie Lane to its 2024 volleyball signing class. Head Coach Dale Starr expressed enthusiasm about Lane joining the team.
Lane, a libero from Arnold, Missouri, attended St. Pius X High School where she had a notable career. She received recognition as a JCAA small school first teamer and was named to the Class 4 District 1 second-team all-district during her junior and senior years. Additionally, Lane earned accolades as the PrepDigMo Defender of the Week and was recognized as their top libero dynamite defender.
Her high school team achieved second place in the Class 4 Missouri State Volleyball Tournament in 2023. Academically, Lane maintained a strong performance, making the honor roll throughout her high school years.
