FOIA Request Sent to Schuyler County Regarding FOIA Logs from January to October 2024 on October 7, 2024

A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to Schuyler County, Illinois, on October 7, 2024. The request was made by us at West Central Reporter, a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.

The FOIA request specifically asked for a list of FOIA logs sent to Schuyler County from January 1, 2024, till October 7, 2024. The requested information includes the requester's name and organization, the content of the request, the date when the request was made and completed, and the status of the FOIA.

In related news, in July 2023, the Illinois Department of Transportation announced Rebuild Illinois - its most extensive multi-year program aimed at improving and repairing all modes of transportation. Governor JB Pritzker said about this initiative: "Over the next six years, we're investing over $40 billion to improve all modes of transportation across our great state. That means better roads and bridges, modernized transit and aviation, and expanded and faster passenger rail service."

According to further reports from the Illinois Department of Transportation, JB Pritzker's Rebuild Illinois program is planning or implementing ten major projects in Chicago alone. With an investment of $396 million earmarked for these projects designed to improve safety and mobility on Illinois's roads and bridges. Three out of these ten projects are scheduled for completion in 2024 while seven more are projected for completion between 2025 through 2030. In Kane County, seven projects worth $107 million are set to be completed under the Rebuild Illinois program. Central Cook County is also set to benefit from this initiative with an investment of $220 million in ten projects for constructing roads and bridges.
