FOIA Request to City of Roodhouse Regarding Unpaid Parking Violations on October 28, 2024.
In our ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at West Central Reporter have submitted a request for records under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140.
Our request is specifically for a list of all parking violations currently unpaid within the jurisdiction of the City of Roodhouse. The details we are seeking include the name of the offender, their address, the amount due, violation date, and total due.
As a media organization dedicated to holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public, access to such public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. We believe that we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals given our role in disseminating information.
